"Oh, what is this?" they exclaimed. "Don't touch it! Look, it rolls!" Both the rabbits were talking at the same time. Then Mr. Rabbit said, "Let's see it we can roll it outside." Mrs. Rabbit thought that was a good idea.

They pushed against the strange round object with their front paws. It soon rested on the grass outside their house. "Very pretty," they said. "But what is it?"

"Let's go and ask Mr. Porcupine. He knows everything," said Mr. Rabbit. "I know what it is," said Mr. Porcupine when they arrived at his house. "It is an egg!"
